  • Logical Fallacies

    Logical Fallacies

Logical fallacies, as far as the eye can see.

They’re everywhere in sight; we hear them when we speak.

Formal or informal; they’re all really awful.

And it’s hard to avoid ’em; it’s easy to get caught in them!

You may use one or more of them!

And you may use them quite often!

Argumentum ex culo? Pulled straight from your rear hole!

Argumentum ad novitatem? A novel but naïve claim that’s said.

Argumentum ad naturam? Natural does not always mean practical!

Appeal to flattery? Too bad it’s just a fallacy!

Argumentum in terrorem? Appealing to fear is abhorrent!

Argumentum ex silentio? My silence doesn’t mean you won, bro!

Argumentum ad nauseam? Repeating your claim just creates real boredom!

This list can go on; it can go on ad nauseam!

I won’t do that, though; I don’t want to bore ya!

The moral of this poem; the one that should stick

Is to always try to go and use some dang logic!

  • Music

    Music

    Music; it’s so amusing.

When you feel down, it can be so soothing.

When you’re filled with joy, it’ll leave you grooving!

There are songs for every mood. You pick and you choose it!

Songs can be live, studio, acapella, or acoustic.

You can play them anywhere; even while cruising!

Music gets us feeling; it makes us be human.

So let the music play; don’t try and mute it!

  • Time

    Time

It is defined as a process

In which things continue to progress.

People, places, and things all move along with it.

When we reminisce, the past is what we visit.

When we’re looking forward, the future is what we look toward.

But there’s one state; one state that we resent.

That so-called state is what we call the present.

When nothing goes our way, we begin to feel real hesitant.

We don’t know when or how,

We’ll stop feeling like we do now.

    When things go wrong,

    Time feels long.

    When things go great,

    Time accelerates.

    One day your twenty,

    all worried about money.

    Next day you’re fifty,

With your own kids who are fifteen.

Time is such a complex concept.

How it progresses is based on our percept.

Making the best of time is a great human conquest.

  • Night

    Night

    It is darkest at night,

    When there is no light,

    And you don’t feel right

    Because there is no sight.

    But in time,

    the Sun will rise,

and soon there will be complete daylight.
