  • Language

    Language

    Tongues twist into shape,
    meanings hidden in rhythm—
    words dance, blur, and bite.

  • Mountains

    Mountains

    Above breathing clouds,
    the world fades to whispering—
    stone dreams in silence.

  • City Park

    City Park

    Skate wheels hum on stone,
    laughter floats past chessboard kings—
    sunlight naps on grass.

Slam Sunday: Post 3 – “The Rent’s Too Damn Alive”

They raise the rent like flags in war,
Each dollar stacked, a silent roar.
Eviction notices in place of dreams,
While landlords sip their luxury schemes.

    Wages crawl, while costs balloon,
No space to breathe, no silver spoon.
    A shoebox costs a king’s domain,
And public housing’s cracked with shame.

The city’s lights are bright, but fake—
    Just gentrified for profit’s sake.
We work, we grind, we chase, we lose,
Our homes reduced to market news.

But voices gather in these streets,
Where hunger walks and hope repeats.
And when we chant, it echoes back—
We’re not broke. We’re under attack.

  • The Senses

    The Senses

    Citrus stings the tongue,
    wind tangles in my fingers—
    sound tastes like violet.

  • Dreams

    Dreams

    Clouds shape-shift in sleep,
    echoes of what never was—
    waking steals the spark.

  • Music

    Music

    A single low note,
    vibration caught in the ribs—
    soul dances to sound.

  • Garden Work

    Garden Work

    Earth beneath my nails,
seeds tucked in with whispered care—
    future sprouts unseen.

  • Anxiety

    Anxiety

    Tight chest, darting eyes,
    shadows stretch beneath the skin—
    breathe through the static.

  • Robots

    Robots

    Metal hands reach out,
learning how to feel the rain—
    code turns into thought.
