  • The city of the future

We would need the most modern and up to date infrastructure and technology and structure in general. It would be accessible for people and for all sorts of transportation including bikes and scooters and buses and trains and cars. The public transportation would be the best of the best. It would be modern and state of the art. Grocery stores and food places and other important stores would be accessible for people in walking distance.

Thoughtful Thursdays: Post 14 – Being There From Afar: Thoughtful Ways to Support Friends at a Distance

Whether due to distance, illness, or busy schedules, we can’t always show up in person—but we can still show up.

    Try:

    • A voice note instead of a text
    • A surprise delivery: coffee, flowers, a book
    • A letter in the mail, just because
    • Checking in not just when things go wrong, but randomly on a Tuesday

Presence isn’t about proximity. It’s about intention. Distance might change the shape of friendship, but not its heart.

  • What motivates me

    Daily writing prompt
    What motivates you?

Life does, to put it simply. Simply just existing, simply just being here, I know, I can have the chance to experience new things. Yea, there may be ups and downs, but like, those are not guaranteed, and they are also not permanent, either, so I try to just live life one day at a time.

  • French Streamer Jean Pormanove’s Wacky Online Adventures Come to a Sudden Pause

French Streamer Jean Pormanove’s Wacky Online Adventures Come to a Sudden Pause

In a story that reads like a cautionary tale from the land of the internet, a French streamer known as Jean Pormanove—real name Raphaël Graven—recently “took an unexpected nap” during a live broadcast. He was 46.

Jean had gained fame for participating in all sorts of on-camera tomfoolery and wacky challenges, many of which were designed to make people giggle online. Unfortunately, some of those pranks went a little too far, and he found himself the target of relentless teasing and digital shenanigans for several months.

On Monday, while streaming from his cozy home in Contes, a small village north of Nice, Jean fell asleep permanently. Authorities are looking into the situation, but at this stage, nothing fishy has been found. Interviews are underway, and a formal check-up is planned to understand exactly what happened.

Previously, a couple of his co-hosts had been investigated for their role in some of the rough-and-tumble antics, but they were released without charges. French digital minister Ciara Chappez described the ordeal as “an absolute pickle of a situation” and sent her heartfelt sympathies to Jean’s family and friends.

Meanwhile, the streaming platform Kick is reviewing the whole affair to make sure the online playground stays safe for everyone. A spokesperson said, “We are deeply saddened by Jean’s passing and send our warmest thoughts to his family, friends, and fans.”

In the end, it’s a story that reminds us all: while online fun can be a barrel of laughs, it’s always important to keep the pranks playful and the teasing gentle—because sometimes the digital circus can get a little too bouncy.

    National Aviation Day

    Today

    Is National Aviation Day.

    It is a day

    To celebrate

    The marvel of airplanes.

    They are such wonders,

Taking us from one place to another.

They are an amazing form of travel.

    Sure, they have their problems

And they could be made better,

But they are able to take us great distances

    On Earth

In a short period of time.

  • Musing Mondays #15: We Don’t Actually Hate Ads—We Hate Repetition

Musing Mondays #15: We Don’t Actually Hate Ads—We Hate Repetition

It hit me the other day: we don’t hate all ads. We hate bad ads. The ones that feel like we’re being stalked online by a toothpaste company. The ones that blare the same ten-second jingle like it’s trying to hypnotize us. But like… have you ever watched a good commercial and thought, “Wait… I kinda liked that”?

Because storytelling? Fire. Music? Catchy. Visuals? Crisp. Sometimes an ad hits all the marks and low-key makes us emotional. But the second we see it for the third time in an hour—rage. Why? Because repetition breaks enchantment. What once felt like art starts to feel like an invasion.

So maybe our real problem isn’t ads at all. Maybe it’s the system that forgets we’re human. That assumes spamming equals persuading. That doesn’t understand that attention is a conversation, not a hostage situation.
