Can We Stop Acting Like We Know Exactly What’s Going to Happen With the 2026 Midterms?
October 25, 2026 by jaimedavid327
Look, I keep seeing people saying that Trump is going to steal the 2026 midterm elections. That he’s going to declare martial law, that he’s going to do this, that he’s going to do that, and that American democracy is basically going to collapse. And look, I understand why people are concerned. Given everything that’sContinue […]
Living on Stolen Land Doesn’t Make Everyone Illegal
October 25, 2026 by jaimedavid327
Look, can we stop with this shit about how everyone living on stolen land is technically illegal? Seriously. Can we fucking stop? Now, here’s the thing. I understand the argument. Land was stolen from Indigenous peoples. Colonization happened. People were displaced, communities were destroyed, and injustices were committed. And I’m not going to sit hereContinue […]
THE ULTIMATE CENTRIST IS BACK! And He’s Got Some Very Nuanced Opinions About Everything!
October 25, 2026 by jaimedavid327
Folks, I have an announcement to make. We’re bringing back an old character of mine. Well, technically, we’re not bringing him back from the dead because he never actually died. He’s just been on an extended vacation. That’s right. I’m talking about THE ULTIMATE CENTRIST! For those of you who don’t know, the Ultimate CentristContinue […]
Why the Fuck Does Leftism Have to Be Anti-Capitalist?
October 24, 2026 by jaimedavid327
Why the fuck does leftism have to mean communism, socialism, or anarchism? Why does leftism have to be anti-capitalist? Why does it have to exist outside of capitalism? Who the fuck decided that these things couldn’t coexist? Who says we can’t have leftism within capitalism? Who says we can’t use capitalism to accomplish leftist goals?Continue […]
Ilhan Omar, Accountability, and the Problem With Politicians Who Lie to the People
October 24, 2026 by jaimedavid327
First things first. If you are attacking Ilhan Omar, being racist toward her, threatening her, or harassing her because of who she is or where she comes from, fucking stop. Seriously. You can criticize a politician without being a racist asshole. Those two things are not mutually exclusive. Now that we have gotten that outContinue […]

You Are More Than Your Worst Moment
October 23, 2026 by jaimedavid327
Everybody has moments they’re embarrassed about. Everybody makes mistakes. Everybody has days when they don’t recognize themselves. One moment doesn’t contain an entire person. You are allowed to keep growing.
Forgiveness Isn’t Always Reconciliation
October 22, 2026 by jaimedavid327
Forgiving someone doesn’t necessarily mean giving them access to you again. You can let go of anger while still deciding that distance is healthier. Forgiveness and reconciliation aren’t the same thing.
You Don’t Have To Be Positive All The Time
October 21, 2026 by jaimedavid327
Constant positivity isn’t the same thing as good mental health. Sometimes you’re frustrated. Sometimes you’re sad. Sometimes you’re angry. You can acknowledge difficult emotions without letting them define your entire life.
Progress Can Be Quiet
October 20, 2026 by jaimedavid327
Progress isn’t always some huge breakthrough. Sometimes progress is getting out of bed. Making the phone call. Setting the boundary. Trying again. Getting through the day. Small steps still count.
Not Every Thought Deserves Your Attention
October 19, 2026 by jaimedavid327
Your brain can produce some incredibly strange thoughts. That doesn’t mean every thought deserves to be analyzed, believed, or acted upon. Sometimes a thought is just a thought. You can let it pass.
