Can we PLEASE make a decision about daylight saving time already?
Seriously. Every single year, we go through the same damn thing. We move our clocks forward, then we move them backward. We lose an hour, we gain an hour, and then six months later, we’re doing the whole thing all over again.
WHY?!
Look, I don’t even care which option we choose at this point. Either get rid of daylight saving time entirely and stick with standard time, OR make daylight saving time permanent year-round.
I genuinely don’t care which one we settle on. There are arguments to be made for both. Some people prefer having more daylight in the evenings, while others prefer having more daylight in the mornings. Fine. Whatever. That’s a discussion worth having.
But can we at least PICK ONE?!
Why are we still doing this twice-a-year clock-changing nonsense? Why does this have to be an annual tradition? We have enough things to worry about without having to remember whether we’re gaining or losing an hour of sleep.
And honestly, I think the biggest frustration is that this has been debated for YEARS. We keep talking about changing it, proposals come up, people argue about it, and yet here we are, still changing our clocks.
I’m not asking for some revolutionary technological advancement here. I’m asking for consistency.
Pick standard time. Pick permanent daylight saving time. Flip a damn coin if you have to.
JUST MAKE A CHOICE AND STICK WITH IT!
Because I’m getting really tired of changing my clocks twice a year.
